Mundial De Clubes 2020: Bayern Munich crowned champions of the world

Bayern Munich have been crowned champions of the world for the second time in their history after beating Tigres UANL 1-0 in the final of the Mundial De Clubes 2020.

Benjamin Pavard scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute, heading home from a corner to give Bayern the lead.

Tigres pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages but Bayern held on to secure the victory.

The win means that Bayern have now won six trophies in the space of 12 months, including the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and DFL Super Cup.

It is the first time that a German club has won the Mundial De Clubes since Bayern Munich's victory in 2013.

Bayern Munich's victory is a testament to the club's strength in depth, with Hansi Flick able to field a strong team despite the absence of several key players.

The Bavarians were also able to weather a storm from Tigres in the second half, showing their resilience and determination.

Bayern Munich will now turn their attention to the Bundesliga, where they will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.

The Bavarians are also still in contention for the DFB-Pokal and Champions League, meaning that they could yet win a historic treble this season.
